The International Society of Anti-Infective Pharmacology is an interdisciplinary scientific society for the study of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics and for the improvement of dosing of anti-infectives. The Society efforts are focused on expanding basic and applied knowledge in this area of chemotherapeutics through the organization of symposia, discussion workshops , and educational workshops with international participation, in connection with major scientific meetings dealing with the chemotherapy of infectious diseases (ICAAC, ICC, ECCMID ...), and other scientific societies with common interests, and Regulatory Authorities (FDA, EMEA). The current membership of the Society is about 120 worldwide.

Agenda: The symposium is organized into two complementary serial tracks.
The first track focuses on recent research thoughts and trends regarding protein binding. After a brief introduction we plan an open discussion.
The second track provides a forum for young investigators to discuss their studies via a brief presentation. Topics on protein binding as well as other topics related to PK/PD are eligible and encouraged for submission. The agenda provides time for discussion after each presentation. Don't miss the opportunity to get insightful and motivating feedback.
At the closing of the symposium, the ISAP travel award for the best presentation will be made.
Abstracts are due by July 12. For more information and submission please contact Vincent Tam

Workshop
Optimizing treatment using a pharmacodynamic approach: an interactive workshop using clinical cases

Topics: PK/PD+resistance, protein binding, translational aspects of PK/PD and PK/PD+potentiator combinations.
Also, you won't want to miss the insider's Viennese evening that we are planning for after the symposium!
